REPORT: S&SW Exeter vs. Poole

On Sunday 30th April, our Comets were in action against a strong Exeter side in the S&SW league.

Kenzie Bennett was our top scorer, going unbeaten in all 6 rides! Brilliant rides from him. Aaron Smith (C) and Fez Langoo also topped our scoresheet as our heat leaders for their respective pairs with both finishing with 20 points. Ollie Saunders rode to 11 points with some very competitive and smart racing, Colin Rowles rode to 7 points putting his all into his races, with Lexie Curtis coming in from reserve to pick up his last race. Maddie Saunders completed the meeting on 9 points after some good races. The final score was Exeter 84-92 Poole.

Following in the footsteps of the Senior team the Development team rode their hearts out to go ahead a win by 20 points! Oliver Saunders (u16) topped the score sheet with 18 points after following home his partner Tallulah Curtis (u10) to two 7-3s! Amazing riding from Teddy Curtis (u14) saw him finish on 16 points after making some great tactical calls in his races. Sisters, Millie Shear (u12) and Tilly Shear (u10) are really proving what they are capable of after picking up 13 and 11 points respectively, following their partners guidance and making themselves proud! Lexie Curtis (Girl Junior) finished her meeting on 15 points and on a high after an amazing 7-3 with Oliver Saunders in their nominated heat! Well done to all of our #youngcomets for their superb efforts, it was brilliant racing to watch! Final score Exeter 65-85 Poole.
Thank you to our hosts Exeter for putting on a great meeting despite the awful weather.
